Giulio Tosti: organ
Romain Baudoin: electric/acoustic hurdy gurdy
Pipe organ and hurdy-gurdy: instruments with a common past in liturgical rites and a future yet to be written, they represent two versions of the same mysterious sound machine based on two opposing elements: air and strings. Their natural tension towards trance and their rich and faceted sounds make them brother and sister born from the same mother, the bourdon.
All these aspects are explored by the duo La Nuit des Bourdons, a project where improvised, traditional and electronic music blend together.
